Hello and welcome to FORT Studio’s very first blog!
I’m George, the founder of FORT Studio, based here in the beautiful Kent countryside. I’m so excited to finally be launching FORT and, even more so to begin creating beautiful, thoughtful spaces with you.
This blog is where I’ll share a little more about life behind FORT Studio – from our latest projects and design inspiration to the details that make a house feel like home. I’ll also be sharing what’s happening behind the scenes, what’s new at FORT and some of the exciting plans we have for the future.
A little about me –
For those who don’t know me, I’m married to James and we have four children – Olivia, Toby, Felix and Rupert as well as two very lively dogs, Oswald and Monty!
My journey into interior design hasn’t been completely straightforward. I originally trained as a nurse before life took me in a different direction. Following some life changing moments in 2020, I made the decision to step back and spend more time at home with the children, while continuing to work alongside James in our family business, OTy Oak Homes.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with clients, helping to design and create homes that are not only beautiful, but pratical, personal and made for real life. It was through this experience that my passion for interiors and creating considered spaces really grew.
I look forward to bringing you along on this exciting new adventure. If you are needing any advice however big or small please get in touch and I will endeavour to help create your FORT.
